In January, the Triad Group recalled all alcohol prep pads, swabs, and swab sticks it manufactured (including products labeled nonsterile) because of possible contamination of the products with Bacillus cereus. At the time, the company said it had received one report of a non–life-threatening skin infection associated with its product. The company said the wipes are intended for disinfection of injection sites.
