Recently DNMT3A mutations were reported to be recurrent in patients with AML with an intermediate-risk cytogenetic profile and associated with poor outcome.2 It would be interesting to know whether significant differences in LSC scores were observed when patients with AML were stratified according to recurrent somatic mutations, including those in DNMT3A, in the study by Gentles et al.1 The authors mentioned that there were no significant differences in LSC scores when patients were stratified by less common somatic mutations, such as IDH1.3 SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.2011.299 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2011.299 ER -
