Woodworth has resigned from the Lincoln Park Board, of which he was president.Dr. L. Harrison Mettler has an excellently written article in Werner's Magazine, entitled "The Poetry of Science."The trustees of the sanitary drainage canal expect to complete the work next month. One of the most interesting exhibits from this city at the Paris Exposition will be a miniature reproduction of the canal.There is one case of smallpox at the Isolation Hospital. The disease was conveyed by a fruit vender who arrived from Storm Lake, Iowa, October 31, and died November 8. His boarding-house room-mate has contracted the disease.A plan has been formulated by the city council to provide eighteen small parks for the thickly populated portions of
