Ernest Perthusiot, who discusses the "Medical Crisis" in France. The causes assigned are: 1. There are too many doctors. 2. The profession in France has in one way or another suffered discredit in recent years. 3. Quacks are allowed to take the bread out of the mouths of legally qualified practitioners. As regards plethora, M. Perthuisot shows that the condition is becoming acute. The number of doctors is increasing out of all proportion to the increase of population.
