    —Your plea for consolidation of medical societies (vide Journal, p. 717) is timely and good. I trust that a movement looking to this end will be started at our next meeting, and would suggest that State societies have semi-annual meetings instead of annual as at present; also that the village doctor be put on active duty. Yours truly,The sale of liquor at Stockholm has fallen from over four millions liters a year to a little over a million and a half, since the introduction of the Gothenburg system.
