N2  - In this third edition new matter is added and the greater part of the work is thoroughly revised, especially the articles on "Tumors of the Choroid," "Retinitis Carcinomata," "Hereditary Optic Nerve Atrophy," "Orbital Optic Neuritis," and the chapter on operations. The bacteriologic relationship to many of the ocular diseases is emphasized. All through the work there is evidence of the desire of the author to keep the book thoroughly up to date.
