The fact that this story centers around one school is merely incidental: the information which led to the investigation pointed quite as much to two other local colleges as it did to the one in question. The acceptance of questionable entrance credentials prevails to a greater extent in Chicago than elsewhere, although makeshifts if not fraudulent devices for admitting medical students whose qualifications are below the standard are employed in probably two or three other cities.
