G. Lincecum, of Lampasas, Texas, reports that he has treated more than one hundred cases of bites inflicted by poisonous reptiles, and that he has never seen a case result fatally that was treated by the hypodermic administration of permanganate of potassium and the administration of chloroform locally and by means of inhalation. He gives the permanganate in 1 and 2 grain doses.I have now practiced medicine in Texas eight years, part of the time in the northwest portion of the State known as the Panhandle, and the last five and one-half years in Lampasas.
