The Committee on the Examinations of the Inmates of Insane Asylums will make their report on "The Relations of Rhinal Inflammations to Mind Affections" at this session.Leprosy in New Orleans.—A despatch to the daily papers, dated July 21, says: Investigation of the case of the young man, James Kavanaugh, in Algiers, who is suffering from tubercular leprosy, discloses the fact that his companion and associate a few years ago was a man named Mallegar, who resides in the Third District, near the mint. This man was afflicted with the loathsome disease and Kavanaugh was constantly in his company, at times ate with him and drank out of the same vessel that he did, and it is evident that he contracted the disease by so doing.
