N2  - Although my primary purpose is to speak of the treatment of inoperable cancer of the uterus, a few words regarding the general subject of uterine cancer may not be out of place.Most important in this connection, it seems to me, would be the formulation of some plan whereby the number of women hopelessly so afflicted may be lessened. This can be accomplished only by teaching women that there is no one symptom peculiar to cancer alone. While it is true that the disease is more likely to occur about the climacteric period, yet no period of life is exempt from it. Its approach is so insidious that, when symptoms of an alarming nature manifest themselves, the disease is usually so far advanced that it comes under the head of "inoperable cancer."
