A parent who allows a ferret to run freely about the house when a child is also running about unsupervised is not being fair to either and is asking for trouble. The same goes for kittens, puppies, and adults of both species.I would also ask why there is this hysteria over ferrets. In January, a child in southern Arizona had a sizable chunk taken out of her face while feeding a horse. Horses are far more dangerous than ferrets, dogs, or other pets because of their size and nature; SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.1989.03420110057020 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.1989.03420110057020 ER -
