    The third part of the answer on tuberculosis control in QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (238:1668, 1977) may, I fear, be misleading. If the skin test converts from negative to positive, a chest x-ray examination must be done; only after active tuberculosis is excluded should a year of isoniazid prophylaxis be advised. If the x-ray film shows tuberculosis, then multiple drug therapy is indicated.
