In their formidable task they have succeeded beyond expectations and have produced a classic text that should be owned and read by every radiologist, whether trainee or senior consultant. The book is divided into the traditional anatomic areas of chest; bones and joints; cardiovascular system; urogenital system; central nervous system and ear, nose, and throat; eye; teeth; and soft tissues. The illustrations are numerous, of unusually high quality, and reproduced in their original black and white relationships (ie, without reversal). The book is written with a clarity of style and lucidity that makes for easy, pleasant reading. However, a book of this size deserves a sturdier binding.
