N2  - There was a day when the part-time dean could steer his medical school. His responsibility involved the four years of undergraduate medical education. Once a year, he could adequately represent his medical school on the national scene at the annual meeting of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), which was founded in 1876.
