While I find the material interesting and accurate, I am a little concerned with some of the things it leaves unsaid which I consider highly important.Most diabetics who lose their sight are adults by the time the disease manifests itself in the loss of visual perception. While some persons who become blind in adulthood do learn and use braille effectively, most do not regardless of the cause of blindness, because they prefer auditory reading systems which are widely available.
