    The recent letter concerning a case report of Fabry's disease (208:1190, 1969) is of interest. When I reported the first case of Fabry's disease presenting cardiovascular manifestations without skin manifestations in 1967 there were only approximately 50 cases of the disease with skin manifestations reported in the world literature.1 The first case reported in America was by Fessas et al in 19552. The cardiovascular as well as renal involvement in this disease was described by Ruiter et al3 placing this entity in a systemic disease order.I saw two cases of proven Fabry's disease in 1967 and am sure that this disorder is not as rare as one would expect from the literature.
