From July through October 1968, approximately 950 cases of Plasmodium falciparum malaria were treated at NSA Hospital of which 95% received CPS. The patients seen by Dr. Swisher represent only 18% of this population. His comparison between forms of therapy may be invalid as the populations are potentially dissimilar.
