The sample group had a higher mean level of plasma uric acid than a group of controls. No positive correlation was shown between dietary intake and plasma uric acid levels. On the scales of the Gordon Profile and Inventory, the only significant finding was a negative correlation between plasma uric acid level and "Responsibility."
