N2  - Three cases clearly demonstrate that spinal cord injuries associated with delivery have not vanished from medicine. Consideration should be given to spinal cord trauma after breech delivery in any stillborn, neonatal death, or paraplegic neonate. Myelography will often suggest the diagnosis of a spinal cord injury. The most frequent direct cause of spinal cord injury associated with delivery is excessive longitudinal traction applied to the fetus.
