This exhibit demonstrated three myelograms of degenerative spondylolisthesis at the L4-5 level in patients who had presented with pseudoclaudication spinal syndromes. The exhibit is summarized in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (47A:1083, 1965). Pseudoclaudication syndrome was seen in cases of degenerative spondylolisthesis in which the dural sac is markedly constricted by a spondylolisthesis occurring later in life, secondary to degenerative changes at the posterior facets. In this type of spondylolisthesis, the entire lamina is dragged forward with the body, markedly constricting the dural sac by a boney constriction. The usual type of spondylolisthesis, with a defect in the pars interarticularis, does not show this. This type of constriction, as demonstrated on the SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.1969.03150230131031 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.1969.03150230131031 ER -
