N2  - A 20-year-old woman with Ebstein's anomaly was participating in competitive athletics at college. An electrocardiogram would have provided an obvious clue to the existence of cardiac disease, had it been taken. A plea is made for routine electrocardiography as part of the standard examination of all candidates for competitive athletics, regardless of age.
