N2  - This book is written as an introduction to the theoretical principles and practical applications of isotope methodology in the biological sciences. The contents of the text are divided into two parts. In the first part the authors deal with preparation of labelled compounds, measurement of stable and radioactive isotopes, determination of radioisotopes in biological preparations, interpretations of radioactivity measurements, radioautography, hazards and safeguards in the use of radioisotopes, examples of radioisotopes used in biological work, and use of isotopic tracers in the study of the kinetics of biological processes.
