Like its predecessors, this volume presents a concise review of the problems by a number of qualified authorities, mainly from England, but also from Ireland and Canada. It is astonishing how much useful information has been compressed into individual chapters which average only 15 pages. A short historical review of the problem is followed by seven chapters dealing with the technical aspects of, reactions to, and measures of protection against radiotherapy. The rest of the book discusses therapy as applied to different organs.
