A large part of the credit for the splendid manner in which this enormous number of wounded received orthopedic care is given to the tireless efforts of the two senior orthopedic consultants Col. Mather Cleveland and Col. Rex L. Diveley. The task of recording the experiences and lessons learned in the care of this large number of patients was assigned to Colonel Cleveland. No better selection could have been made. This entire book is splendid evidence of the skill and of the painstaking work which is characteristic of anything that Mather Cleveland does. The book SN - 0002-9955 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.1959.03010210122022 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.1959.03010210122022 ER -
