Years ago, when I was in general practice, I felt that the condition we called "pulled elbow" should have been called to the attention of our colleagues. It is a painful and disabling condition, and usually the gentle manipulation incidental to a careful examination and palpation corrects the defect, with the familiar clicking sound mentioned in Dr. Hart's article. It is interesting to have his explanation, since 50 years ago we did not have access to x-ray at every occasion.
