Charles F. Gell, M. C., U. S. Navy, was presented the Melbourne W. Boynton Award for Space Medicine at the Honor's Night Dinner of the American Astronautical Society's Annual Meeting in Washington, D. C., in December. The presentation was made by Rear Adm. Edward C. Kenney, M. C., U. S. Navy. The society presents this award at the end of each year to the person who has made an outstanding contribution to astronautics through medical research. Captain Gell was chosen for his work in the fields of multicrew long duration confinement and explosive decompression of mammals.Personal.—  At the Southern Regional Meeting of the International College of Surgeons in Miami, in January, Rear Adm.
