C. It will be the 24th component of the American Registry of Pathology, and it is under the sponsorship of the College of American Pathologists. The objective of the new registry is the collection of well-checked and well-documented medicolegal cases to be used as a reservoir for teaching and research. Only selected cases of medicolegal interest contributed by a qualified pathologist will be registered. The material will be incorporated in the files of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and become a part of its national collection of pathology.Registry consultation on contributed cases will be limited to basic pathological changes and will not include medicolegal opinions which might involve Armed Forces Institute of Pathology staff members in court proceedings.
