Since I have been here my heart is full of praise for the wonderful way in which America and our American colleagues have received us. My thoughts, however, always return to the dark days of the Hungarian revolution, to my flight from Hungary because my life was in danger there, and to my arrival in Vienna.This letter to you is expressly intended to thank the American medical societies and the American colleagues for the wonderful way in which they helped us over the first shock of having fled from our native country.
