The students have been divided into two groups. Training for the basic group, those men with no previous military experience, who have completed only their freshman year in medical school, or those who prefer field training, is conducted by the Medical Field Service School at the Medical Center. For medical students who previously served with the armed forces, a hospital camp has been set up and, under the direction of Brooke General Hospital, offers a clinical clerkship course.
