    Society News.— 
    The California Society of Pathologists at their second annual meeting in Los Angeles May 8 installed Dr. Robert J. Parsons of Oakland as president and chose Drs. Alvin G. Foord of Pasadena as president-elect and H. Russel Fisher of Los Angeles, secretary-treasurer.Faculty Changes at Stanford.— 
    The following professors will retire from their active teaching duties at Stanford University School of Medicine, San Francisco, September 1 with the title emeritus: Dr. George D. Barnett, professor of medicine; Dr. Charles H. Danforth, professor and executive, department of anatomy; Dr. James R. Dillon, clinical professor and chief of the division of urology; Dr. Harold K. Faber, professor and executive of the department of pediatrics, and Frank W. Weymouth, Ph.D., professor and executive, department of physiology. Dr. John K. Lewis has been promoted to professor of medicine and will succeed Dr. Barnett on the Stanford Service at the San Francisco
