The author also discusses the reasons for failure to gain weight and the significance of tuberculin reactions. Of special value are his tables on differential diagnosis.Throughout the book, the author stresses the fact that the child is not a miniature adult and deplores this widespread misconception, which has been the source of many errors in diagnosis.
