Of these 57 per cent were female and 43 per cent male, the ages varying from 19 to 63. All laboratory tests were done by the Division of Laboratories of the State of Illinois, Department of Public Health. Only one reaction was positive, and this in a dilution of 1 to 5,120, and 1 person had recovered from acute brucellosis five years previously.
