In 1948 the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation was established. An International Congress on Rheumatic Diseases will be held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York from May 30 to June 3. This congress is the first International Congress on Rheumatic Diseases to be held in the United States. Seven (five morning and two afternoon) scientific plenary sessions will be held, and there will be five one-hour round table conferences. In the afternoons several New York hospitals will have clinics in which prominent foreign guests as well as national authorities will be represented. Some one hundred and fifty foreign physicians are expected. The conference is open to qualified physicians.
