This work represents his personal experience with operative surgery. Under the circumstances, it is not strange that some of the interventions practiced by him are not the vogue in this country and that some of the procedures used here are not dwelt on. Nevertheless the volume has great value, because it represents the experience of a seasoned operator. What he has set out to do has been done exceedingly well. Each operation is discussed from beginning to end, by way of text, photographs and drawings. Preoperative and postoperative measures are considered as well.
