N2  - The number of accidents in 1937 was 73,741, compared with 70,243 in 1936. The Missouri workmen's compensation law has been in operation since January 1927, and during the period from January 1927 to January 1937 "729,209 cases were reported to the Commission on which $24,710,961.99 was authorized in compensation and $11,269,835.62 in medical aid—a total of $35,980,797.61."
