Monaco, Los Angeles, has been made president of the International Medical Club of Southern California for the ensuing year, and Dr. Abraham J. Gottlieb, 727 West Seventh Street, Los Angeles, secretary. The club has been organized for five years, the object being to promote better understanding between medical men of different nationalities and to create an opportunity for social contact.—The health officers' section of the League of California municipalities will meet at Oakland, October 7-11.University News.  —The University of California and Stanford University have made plans whereby the Herzstein lectures and the Lane lectures will alternate this fall.
