The session was under the chairmanship of Dr. Edgard Zunz.Alcoholism was studied from the sociohygienic, the economic, the philosophic and the physiologic points of view. The pathologic, criminologic and legislative aspects of the problem were variously emphasized, depending on the country (United States, Sweden, Belgium, Russia). The relations to education and to sport activities also were taken up; the question of the substitution of fruit juices, the question of beers, wines, ciders and liqueurs, and the question of police work in connection with alcoholism were likewise considered.Insurance and medicolegal questions associated with traffic accidents were considered comprehensively by Prof. J.
