N2  - Among the reports1 of human infection with Torula histolytica, there are only a limited number that mention specific changes in the lungs, and an analysis of these reports leads to the conclusion that most if not all of them are descriptions of chronic lesions or lesions of considerable standing, while those comparable to miliary tuberculosis of the lungs have not been mentioned. The account by Stoddard and Cutler2 reports extensive lung changes in the second of the two patients examined post mortem. The upper lobe of the right lung was shrunken and contained a large consolidated region, which was firm like fibrous tissue and composed of gray-white nodules as large as 2 mm. in diameter. The mass was irregular and had nodular extensions into the surrounding tissue. No parts contained caseated or calcified tissues or cavities. Scattered elsewhere were small miliary nodules resembling those of the consolidated region,
