He bases his statement on twenty-five years of experience, both in private practice and in teaching the subject at the University of Montevideo. His book has naturally been prepared to meet the special needs of Uruguay, using for purposes of comparison the data from other countries. The book, from that standpoint, is rather exhaustive as Morquio has attempted to review in various chapters the data that exist in foreign literatures.
