Driving is considered by many adults to be essential to independence. It provides an opportunity for them to stay engaged in their community and to participate in activities that enhance their quality of life. Research suggests that driving cessation is associated with increased depression over time and decline in general psychological well-being.1 SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.2010.1151 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2010.1151 ER -
