Many US medical schools have made training and graduating primary care physicians a priority.1 By offering scholarships and tuition incentives, AMCs display a commitment to training a 21st-century primary care workforce. Although most students study in large, urban tertiary and quaternary care centers where specialists predominate, medical schools are building efforts to give students meaningful experiences in state-of-the-art, community clinical sites.2 SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.2010.663 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2010.663 ER -
