In Reply: In response to Mr Jenssen and Dr Klein, we chose to survey medical school deans to understand the extent to which medical school administrations were dealing with perceived lapses of online professionalism, and to what extent schools were aware of and prepared to handle potential issues. Student affairs deans represent an important perspective from the standpoint of policy setting. While generational differences likely exist in many areas from digital footprints to learning styles, it is the deans who lead the faculty in facilitating medical student education and professional growth.
