Incorrect Number:  In the Global Health column published in the December 19, 2012, issue of JAMA (2012;308[23]:2449), the article “Brazil Slashes Smoking Rates” contained an incorrect value. The sentence should have read, “The model also estimated that around 420 000 deaths from smoking-related causes were averted by 2010 and that 7 million deaths will have been prevented by 2050.” The article has been corrected online.
