In Table 1 of the article, we noted that among women aged 50 years or older, only 71.6% of those without any cumulative average daily alcohol consumption underwent breast cancer screening (mammogram or clinical breast examination) during the preceding 2 years, as opposed to more than 79% of those consuming 0.1 to 19.9 g per day. Furthermore, 42.4% of those with no alcohol consumption were diagnosed with a stage I tumor vs 44.5% to 48.3% of those consuming alcohol.
