Error in Viewpoint:  In the Viewpoint entitled “Statin Therapy for Healthy Men Identified as ‘Increased Risk,’” published in the April 11, 2012, issue of JAMA (2012;307[4]:1489-1490), the first sentence of the fourth paragraph presented data from the AFCAPS/TexCAPS trial incorrectly. The sentence should have read, “Similarly, the AFCAPS/TexCAPS randomized 6605 asymptomatic adults with a mean (SD) LDL-C level of 150 (17) mg/dL and low HDL-C (36 [5] mg/dL in men and 40 [5] mg/dL in women) to lovastatin, 20 to 40 mg, vs placebo.” This article was corrected online.
