Because of its simplicity and excellent illustrations it answers the need for a reliable book on the subject. The photographic reproductions of more than a hundred positions clearly record the relationship between the central ray and the organ to be roentgenographed or irradiated. Drawings taken from actual roentgenograms explain the anatomic features. The description of methods and technic is limited to a few precise sentences. Because of the constant advances in this field, only a small space is devoted to modern x-ray apparatus and exposures, thus rendering the book fairly independent of rapid changes. New methods, such as kymography and tomography, are however included. Charts and drawings on the epiphysial development and on accessory bones add practical value to the text. This surprisingly complete collection of anatomy and positioning, with the concisely arranged and excellent illustrative material, constitutes a valuable and SN - 0002-9955 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.1939.02800500071041 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.1939.02800500071041 ER -
