TY - JOUR T1 - ATlas of nuclear cardiology AU - Heston T Y1 - 2012/04/18 N1 - 10.1001/jama.2012.494 JO - JAMA SP - 1647 EP - 1648 VL - 307 IS - 15 N2 - Nuclear cardiology has undergone rapid changes during the last several decades. What started as the “nuclear stethoscope” in the 1970s1 has evolved into a multidimensional, hybrid imaging technique that now serves as a workhorse imaging technology for the diagnosis and management of patients with known or suspected cardiovascular disease. Although the currently used technique of gated single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) was developed a couple of decades ago, significant and important advances continue to be made. The time is thus appropriate for an updated, third edition of the Atlas of Nuclear Cardiology.2 SN - 0098-7484 M3 - doi: 10.1001/jama.2012.494 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2012.494 ER -
