Incorrect/Omitted Reference:  In the Clinical Crossroads entitled “Antiplatelet and Anticoagulant Therapy in Patients With Gastrointestinal Bleeding: An 86-Year-Old Woman With Peptic Ulcer Disease,” published in the December 7, 2011, issue of JAMA (2011;306[21]:2367-2374), an incorrect reference was cited. On page 2371, in the first column under “Patients Taking Aspirin and Clopidogrel” and again in the second column, in the paragraph that begins “The recent COGENT trial . . . ,” reference 28 was cited incorrectly. The article that should have been cited in both places did not appear in the reference list and is as follows: Bhatt DL, Cryer BL, Contant CF, et al; COGENT Investigators. Clopidogrel with or without omeprazole in coronary artery disease. N Engl J Med. 2010;363(20):1909-1917. This article was corrected online.
