The outstanding tenth edition of Rosai and Ackerman's Surgical Pathology promises to continue to serve as the standard reference work for surgical pathologists, pathology trainees, and specialists in other disciplines in which pathological diagnosis is critical to patient management. Like previous editions, the text is both comprehensive and practical. That the text was written by a single author not only is a monumental accomplishment by Juan Rosai but also lends a degree of consistency in style and content that is rare in texts of this size. The result is clearly written, easy to follow, and very readable.
