We thus chose not to provide an exhaustive list of the multiplicity of health issues faced by Latino children, which members of our consortium have addressed elsewhere.1- 2 Instead, we focused on a more detailed examination of selected issues considered to be of greatest urgency. Thus, by necessity, and because of space constraints, difficult decisions had to be made regarding which issues would be addressed. Several key issues—including injuries, human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, and teen pregnancy—regretfully could not be included in our article but are major Latino child health concerns that deserve greater attention in health services research and health policy.
